Hey there! My name is Cathy, and I’ve been paper crafting for several years, but still consider myself a newbie. It’s no secret that being creative is good for the soul, and my craft room is a place to relax, de-stress, and let go of the day’s troubles. I’ve always loved pretty paper, from nice stationary, funky gift wrap, pretty notecards, to beautiful handmade japanese paper; however, it wasn’t until I started making handmade cards and paper gift boxes that my love for paper turned into an obsession. This, of course, began a new obsession with stamps, inks, dies, and every other thing you can think of regarding card making. Add to that the fact that, despite being in my early middle age, I never, ever, EVER have my s#!t together, and you have my life summed up in the title of this blog: paper and chaos.
Let me forewarn you: just because paper is the first word in the title doesn’t mean chaos comes second. Nope. Chaos reigns supreme. So I can’t promise any kind of consistency in subject matter or the timing of posts; my brain, my life, and my absurdly annoying anxiety simply won’t allow it. I work full-time as a pediatric PTA, my husband and I are active members of our local rural volunteer fire department, and we both have older family members who need looking after. I stay busy. And stressed. And crazy. You may get paper crafting tutorials, raves about a new supplies, or you may get a slew of wildlife photos because sometimes I can’t find my crafty mojo, and wildlife photography is actually my first creative love. I may post every day for two weeks, then you may not hear from me again for a month. If consistency and order is your thing, this blog is probably not for you! However, I try my best to keep things mostly about paper crafting, and to post as consistently as I can. I love this not so little card making community, and want to be a part of it, even if I have to be the crazy neighbor that never quite makes any sense!
